D.R. Parks spent his early childhood in the haunted Winterport house briefly depicted in his debut novel, Valaner’s Gate. Twenty years later, he began experiencing sightings of both benevolent and malevolent specters, which remained infrequent for years until he undertook dauntless research into the evidence of the supernatural and God’s existence, and his clairvoyant sightings intensified. His experiences and research inspired him to write this paranormal thriller.
